Conflict In community setting can cause stress, confrontation and even war. Conflict is a concept to explain many characteristic of our lives in religious, social and personal backgrounds. FreedomGate Pakistan (FGP), the alumni network of the Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit (FNF) examined it deeply during a Seminar in Karachi.

FreedomGater Dr.Huma Baqai, Professor Karachi University, assisted by Liberal Forum Pakistan member Farhat Akram Mughal, Qaid-e Azam University, led the participants to overcome the puzzle of conflict. Vital misunderstanding of the concept that religion gives rise to conflict where the truth lies in the fact that no single religion on the face of earth by any means teaches clash. It is only the followers who misinterpret and misuse their religions.

Thus, conflict management deals with the human, the individual and its behaviour. Principally, conflict behaviour bases on ethical, territorial and personal bias. It is imperative to appreciate the need of dialectic argument for conflict management. There are different ways and mediums to address mechanisms of solution in shape of negotiation, accommodation, avoidance, collaboration, mediation and then arbitration. It was stated that need of accurate understanding in essential because only after that we can move ahead without any perplexed views related to religions At least the participants, friends and partners of FNF, can now move forward to resolve conflicts in private and public sphere.
